Complaints
BIC has a staff of experienced investigators and inspectors who respond to complaints or reports of unlawful or improper acts by carting companies, such as:
  • Overcharging
  • Unlicensed or unregistered carting
  • Excessive noise
  • Fraudulent, deceptive or dishonest business practices
  • Threats or intimidation
  • Unremoved containers

If you have a complaint or question about a carting company's acts or practices in the City of New York, please call BIC's complaint telephone line at (212) 676-6275 or fax your complaint to 212-676-6204. Your compliant will be treated confidentially.

Remember, a customer cannot be forced to do business with a particular carter. A customer has the right to pick its own carter. A customer or the customer's location does not "belong" to any one carter. This is against the law.
